Bring your garden to life with a wide selection of plants from Master Gardeners, the Alpharetta Community Agriculture Program, Georgia Native Plant Society-North Metro Atlanta Chapter, and local gardening vendors
Mark your calendars! The North Fulton Master Gardeners will host their 24th annual Garden Faire. In partnership with the City of Alpharetta,
The North Fulton Master Gardeners is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging horticultural education and environmental stewardship. Their popular annual Garden Faire features something for everyone, including an incredible selection of plants from North Fulton Master Gardeners, Alpharetta’s Community Agriculture Program, the Georgia Native Plant Society-North Metro Atlanta Chapter, and from local gardening specialty vendors. Master Gardeners will be available on-site for consultations on individual plants, landscaping issues, or design needs. Look for the NFMG nametags, the hats, or the apron identifiers!
“We are one year away from our Garden Faire Silver Jubilee and over the years, we’ve had many constants. Foremost is our amazing cadre of volunteers who put in 1000s of hours of work to bring this wonderful event to the North Fulton community, including donating unique propagated and pass-along plants and gardening-themed artworks, books, and other household and garden décor,” said Christine Williams, NFMG Garden Faire co-chairperson. “We also deeply appreciate our amazing site-partner, the City of Alpharetta, along with the Georgia Native Plant Society-North Metro Atlanta Chapter and our marketplace partners and vendors. We can’t wait to see you at Garden Faire 2025 on Saturday, April 12!”
Here’s a preview of what you can expect to see this year at Garden Faire:
• New this year! A local bluegrass band will entertain and delight while you shop, and there will be an area dedicated to pollinator and native plants and gardens.
• Wide variety of plants, including native, heirloom plants and vegetables, annuals, seeds, perennials, shrubs, herbs, and cut flower starts, and the popular pass-along plants curated from many of our Master Gardeners’ very own gardens.
• Speakers and demonstrations. Learn dos and don’ts of gardening from Master Gardeners and other gardening experts, from building soil to botany basics to advanced design techniques. It’s an opportunity to fellowship with the plant-obsessed or with the wallflowers.
• Vendors Market with a wide selection of garden accessories and tools.
• Children’s Corner. The ever-popular Children’s Corner will be active from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Children will be guided through a fun gardening activity or have a chance to simply relax and color.
• Vintage Fleatique with botanical bargains galore.
• Delicious food and drink.
Admission is free and the North Fulton Master Gardeners’ proceeds from Garden Faire plant and Fleatique sales will support post-secondary horticultural scholarships, benefit community education efforts (for gardeners of all ages and expertise) and augment the hands-on volunteer efforts at the North Fulton Master Gardeners’ project gardens and its’ teaching/propagation greenhouse operations. Master Gardeners will be on hand during the event to help shoppers choose the plants that are right for their spaces and to help answer the toughest gardening questions.
