Description: New series on Jews & France: Revolution to Napoleon to Restoration. Lecture #1: France 1789, it’s a Revolution! All races and creeds in the country are given equality except for one … the Jews! It would take two more years before the French give all Jews citizenship, yet France would be the first European nation to do so. This first lecture of the series will explore the French Revolution and its impact on the Jews.
