The Feeney Legacy Project

April is National Volunteer Month

Volunteers make an impact on our communities. Thank them. Then look for a place you could fit right in as a volunteer.

National Volunteer Month honors volunteers that make a difference in our lives. It is also a month to encourage people to volunteer at any age. Volunteers donate their time to do the work most do not like to do–clean up after a run, foster dogs, sort books in the library, load trucks at the foodbank.

The Jewish Family and Career Services of Atlanta (AF&CS) is a great place to be a volunteer or at least look at the opportunities there.

  • Involve the kids
  • Volunteer with a friend
  • Go with your parents
  • Take a grandchild
  • Meet new people

I have always loved volunteering–it is uplifting especially since the organizations I volunteer with are so appreciative to have help.

Today start researching and give a few hours back to the community.
