Movember, a month dedicated to raising awareness about men’s health and encouraging conversations that can save lives.

But Movember is about much more than facial hair. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on important men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.

Why does it matter?

Too often, men put off doctor visits, ignore symptoms, or hesitate to talk about what they’re experiencing. Starting a conversation, scheduling a checkup, or simply asking a friend how he’s doing can make a difference.

At the Feeney Legacy Project, we believe in the power of taking action. Our mission encourages everyone to be an Upstander, not a bystander. That means speaking up, looking out for one another, and knowing what to do when someone needs help.

This November, let’s take a few simple steps:

  • Start a conversation. Check in with the men in your life. A simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door.
  • Make health a priority. Don’t ignore symptoms or put off important checkups.
  • Look out for your friends. Sometimes people need someone to notice, listen, and encourage them to seek help.
  • Know when to act. In a medical emergency, don’t hesitate. Call 911 immediately.

Movember reminds us that awareness is important, but action is what makes a difference.

So whether you grow a mustache, support a Movember fundraiser, or simply check in on someone you care about, you can be part of the movement. Go to Movember and learn all there is to know and do for Men’s Health: https://movember.com/

Don’t be a bystander. Be an Upstander. Take Action. Because looking out for one another can change lives!
