As Wellness Month comes to a close, we are reminded that true wellness is about more than physical health. It is about caring for one another, building meaningful connections, supporting mental and emotional well-being, and creating communities where people feel seen, valued, and supported.
We will miss Dolly and her determination to be a hero to so many by noticing them, taking care of them, and seeing the good in them. Those simple but powerful actions reflect the heart of wellness: recognizing when someone needs support, reaching out, and making a difference through compassion and connection.
Dolly showed us that we don’t have to wait for someone else to take action.
Don’t be a bystander. Be an Upstander. Take action.
As we move beyond Wellness Month, may we carry Dolly’s example with us. Let us continue to notice one another, check in on those around us, encourage healthy minds and hearts, and create communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Through the Feeney Legacy Project, we can help keep that spirit alive by turning awareness into action and compassion into a lasting legacy.
Wellness Month may end, but caring for one another never should.
We will miss Dolly deeply, but her legacy lives on every time we notice someone, care for someone, see the good in someone, and choose to be an Upstander.
