The Jewish Community Relations Council of Atlanta (JCRC) will hold its quarterly Community Council on Thursday, December 11, at 8:30 a.m. at Congregation Shearith Israel. The gathering will bring together representatives from Jewish organizations across Atlanta, along with interested community members, to discuss and provide feedback on JCRC’s proposed policy statement on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The goal of the morning is for the community to review, discuss, and — JCRC hopes — endorse the policy statement, which outlines the Jewish community’s commitment to supporting SNAP and strengthening efforts to fight hunger in Georgia.

Attendees will also be invited to commit to specific action steps as part of a coordinated, community-wide effort to address food insecurity.

JCRC welcomes participation from anyone interested in lending their voice, sharing insights, or helping shape the communal approach to this important issue.

All interested community members and partner organizations are encouraged to attend. Please email Rachel Wallenstein, JCRC’s communications and administrative manager, at rachelw@atlantajcrc.org if you plan to attend.
