AJOCC is an anti-racist, anti-oppressive Jewish organization on a mission to advance racial equity, affirmation, and empowerment across the South.
We provide a platform for regional JOC to speak for themselves, and not have narratives controlled by people who don’t know or don’t understand the complexities of our vastly nuanced lived experience. The stories, cultures, and traditions of Jews such as Mizrahi, Sephardi, Ethiopian, Latinx, Asian, and Black are essential to our collective identity.
AJOCC Members are from different ethnicities, affiliations, and observance levels. We are individuals, spouses, families, and children who identify as non-white and Jewish, or as part of a multi-racial Jewish family.
