Join the Atlanta Israel Coalition for an evening with Lt. Col. (Res.) Amos Davidowitz — Israeli officer, educator, and author of A Path of Peace in the Field of Battle: An Israeli Officer’s Ethical Will to His Children on the Eve of Battle.

Amos will speak about how Israel’s present challenges did not begin on October 7. He will trace the deeper roots of today’s conflict, the moral tension of leadership under fire, and the lifelong work of turning survival into peace.

Born in New York and raised in Israel, Amos has served since 1974 in a range of combat command roles and continues his reserve duty as a lieutenant colonel. He also volunteered for years with Israel’s Border Police, leading 1,000 volunteers across five counties. Beyond his military service, Amos is an international educator and founder of innovative programs in peace and community development. His work has been presented at EXPO 2000 and the United Nations.

After his talk, there will be an open Q&A.

About the Book:

A Path of Peace in the Field of Battle is an ethical will written by a father to his children before going to war. Amos reflects on duty, humanity, and the moral cost of conflict — and the book continues to inspire readers across generations.
