2nd Annual Shearith Israel Retreat

Congregation Shearith Israel will hold its 2nd annual Shabbaton at the Kaplan Mitchell Retreat Center at Ramah Darom on March 29 – 31, 2019. The majestic mountain campsite and landscape will serve as an inspiring backdrop to build community and experience a spiritually uplifting Shabbat surrounded by nature and the extended Shearith family. Check-in will begin at 3pm on Friday, March 29, at the Welcome Center. Check out is at 11am on Sunday, March 31.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The retreat is for you! We are gathering together as a whole community- from our Lifetime Members to our babies and everyone in between. Singles, couples, families- all are welcome. Those who yearn for intentional community, intellectual stimulation, a soulful expression of Judaism, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts— all are encouraged to come!

PROGRAMMING:

The programming for the retreat will be varied and exciting. There will be indoor activities, outdoor activities, structured time, down time, and programming for children as well. We will enjoy quality time, meals, and Services together. Keep an eye out on this page for additional information on the programming for the Shabbaton.

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation will not be provided, but we will facilitate carpools for those looking to share the ride, gas costs, and lower our carbon footprint.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THE REGISTRATION FEE?

The registration fee includes all meals (Friday night dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and Sunday breakfast) and snacks, activities, accommodations, and a special, refreshing weekend with your extended Shearith family!
