Unto Every Person There is a Name

Since 1989 on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, B’nai B’rith International has been the North American sponsor of Unto Every Person There Is a Name ceremonies. Participants name the victims and where and when they were born and died. These observances, created by Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, honor more victims each year, as the project collects more names.

We will be gathering in the South wing of the Georgia State Capitol building for an especially moving program of this Holocaust memorial observance.  We will be reading names of Holocaust victims, as well as their ages and places of death.  This program is being conducted by B’nai B’rith lodges nationwide, and its objective is to recognize that there were actually six million human lives lost, not just a large block of people.  If you would like to attend and/or participate in the reading of the names, please contact Edward Dressler at dressler@jewishfuneralcare.com or call him at 770-451-4999
