Sanctuary Dedication Weekend

Ahavath Achim’s magnificent re-imagined sanctuary is finally complete! You are invited to participate in our Sanctuary Dedication Weekend, a joyful, event-filled celebration of AA’s entire community as we usher in an exciting new year and bright future.

Look over this schedule of events and make plans to return to Ahavath Achim for renewed friendships, spiritual uplift, and a warm welcome home. All events are free unless otherwise noted.

Erev Shabbat—Friday, August 18

• 5:30 p.m.: Family Shabbat Dinner
  • $25/adult; $15/child 3-11; free for 0-3
• 6:45 p.m.: Mincha Service
• 7:00 p.m.: Musical Kabbalat Shabbat
  • Featuring the energetic musical flair of Rabbi Josh Warshawsky and violinist Coleen Dieker
  • Babysitting is available for children 3-11
• 8:15 p.m.: Dessert Reception

Shabbat Morning—Saturday, August 19

• 9:30 a.m.: Shabbat Services with Rabbi Josh Warshawsky
• 12:15 p.m.: Kiddush Lunch
• 7:30 p.m.: YALLA Havdallah
  • At Rabbi Sam and Allison’s home
  • A Havdallah experience geared toward adults in their late 20s, 30s, and 40s

Sunday, August 20

• 11:00 a.m.: Sanctuary Dedication
  • Join us for the momentous occasion of rededicating our new sanctuary!
• 1:00 p.m.: Communal Lunch
• 3:00 p.m.: Jazz Concert—The Bonaventure Quartet
