The Tam Institute for Jewish Studies invites you to a book signing featuring Extracted: Unmasking Rampant Antisemitism in America’s Higher Education by Dr. Perry Brickman. The event will be held in the Jones Room on the third floor of the Woodruff Library on Emory’s campus.
About the book: When leaders of the Anti-Defamation League exposed a pattern of antisemitism at the Emory University School of Dentistry in 1961, they relied primarily on statistics to make their case. Nothing, however, was ever known about the real-life victims of the discrimination they uncovered. Now, Dr. Perry Brickman, himself one of the students who was unfairly flunked out of the school, has told the human side of the story.
Dr. Brickman will give a brief presentation, followed by a book signing. Copies of Extracted will be available for purchase.
Dessert and coffee will be served.
