ATLANTA, Ga.— December 3, 2019 —Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS) Atlanta announces Ula Zusman, NCC, has joined the professional clinical staff as a therapist.

Ula Zusman is a Nationally Certified Counselor, specializing in trauma across the lifespan. Ula works primarily with children and adolescents and their families.

Ula views counseling as supporting children, teens and adults in developing wellness throughout their lives. Her focus is on helping them to rediscover their unique skills, abilities and knowledge, and harness these to not only overcome their difficult life experiences, but thrive. Ula believes that a sense of safety and trust is essential to building the foundational therapeutic relationship.

She utilizes a combination of play therapy, creative arts therapies, Narrative Therapy, EMDR and NET Therapy to help clients process and heal from trauma in all its many shapes and forms.

Ula qualified as a counseling psychologist in South Africa and has previously worked in South Africa, Australia and the US in the areas of HIV/AIDS support, substance use, children’s burns injuries, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Ula holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Rhodes University. She received her Masters in Social Work in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Georgia State University.
