In celebration of Israel’s Independence Day, the MJCCA invites everyone to participate in Tikvah Threads, a yarn graffiti project designed to wrap our community in hope during these challenging times. In Hebrew, Tikvah means hope, and its root also means binding or cord. Together, we will create a yarn garden of hope throughout the MJCCA’s Main Street, crafting a tapestry of resilience, unity, and optimism.Crafting at the MJCCA: Tikvah Thread crafting opportunities will be held in the MJCCA alcove from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6th, Tuesday, May 7th, and Thursday, May 9th. All are welcome to stop by and contribute to the Hope Garden. Can’t make it for a crafting opportunity? Tikvah Thread Kits will be available for pick-up and drop-off starting May 1st. Each kit will have the materials to create one Tikvah Thread project at home, which will be dropped back off at the front desk and included in the Hope Garden. On May 14th, as part of our Yom HaAtzmaut Celebration, please join us on Main Street for a tour of the Hope Garden and our Human’s of Tel Aviv photo exhibit.
