The North Fulton Master Gardeners, in collaboration with the UGA Extension of Fulton County and our partners, are continuing our mission of providing horticultural education, service, and inspiration in the North Fulton community through virtual educational programming. We are pleased to announce the recent creation of the NFMG YouTube Channel at https://youtube.com/NorthFultonMasterGardeners.

We are going virtual with our Fall 2020 Gardening Lecture Series in response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Our first video is “Hydrangeas-How to Plant, Grow, and Prune” with Master Gardener Linda Cline. Additional classes to be posted include Shade Gardening, The Fragrant Garden, Bulbs, Vermiculture, Fall Vegetable Gardening, and Fall Lawn Care. Please subscribe to our YouTube Channel to learn when other classes are posted.

Additionally, the North Fulton Master Gardeners in cooperation with Farm Chastain at Chastain Park Conservancy are producing a series of gardening mini-videos to provide horticultural education, service, and inspiration in the North Fulton community. Check out the “Master Gardeners Educate at Farm Chastain” playlist on our new YouTube channel.

The NFMG YouTube Channel also features several playlists of videos:
● Home Gardens of the North Fulton Master Gardeners playlist
● UGA Extension of Fulton County playlist of gardening videos, another source of gardening information, and inspiration
● How to Become a Master Gardener playlist

We thank you for your understanding and patience, and we look forward to resuming our in-person community gardening classes in the future in good health. Please check our websiteYouTube ChannelFacebook events, or Twitter for information on our virtual classes or when our live in-person classes will resume.

About the North Fulton Master Gardeners:

The North Fulton Master Gardeners is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to provide horticultural education, service, and inspiration in the North Fulton community. Master Gardener Extension Volunteers are trained and certified by the University of Georgia Extension service.

For the past 21 years, we have partnered with historic Bulloch Hall to bring Garden Faire to the North Fulton community. For the health and safety of everyone involved, and keeping with recent federal and state guidance regarding non-essential scheduled group gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, we made the necessary decision not to hold Garden Faire 2020 on Saturday, April 25. Your understanding was appreciated and we wish the best of health to all members of our community.

Over the years, the North Fulton Master Gardeners have provided gardening community education classes in Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, and Farm Chastain (now transitioning to a virtual learning format due to the pandemic); gardening education for young children; university and college scholarships for horticulture students; and local demonstration gardens maintained by the North Fulton Master Gardeners.
