The Hebrew Order of David announces the return of the 2023 Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival to Brook Run Park (4770 North Peachtree Road) in Dunwoody, Georgia on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be something for everyone, rain or shine.2023 BBQ Festival Flyer

Our Festival is centered around a Kosher BBQ Competition where approximately 25 teams compete in KOSHER Brisket, Beef Ribs, Chicken, and Chili categories. We have a large Vendor Village, Children’s activities, Music, Silent Auction, and of course BBQ. Admission is free. BBQ Taste Tickets are $1.25 each and can be bought in advance online or onsite.

Approximately 4,000 BBQ lovers and community supporters attended last year’s Festival. The Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival is supervised by the Atlanta Kashruth Commission. Because we are fully compliant with their Kosher food handling requirements, all spectrums of the Jewish community can participate, plus, because it is BBQ, the entire Atlanta community joins us as well. This ultimately makes us the most diverse attended food event in Georgia.DSC_2254

Most importantly, you do not have to be Jewish to field a competition team or enjoy our BBQ. Fielding a Competition Team is simpler than you think. To keep it KOSHER, we provide EVERYTHING. For your $600 entry fee, we provide; 2 Weber Kettles, 2 bags of Lump Charcoal, a whole Brisket, Beef Ribs, Chicken, Ground Beef/Beans for Chili, and all the ingredients you need to make your Rub and Sauce. All you bring is a 10×10 canopy, your recipe, and your skill. Here is the link to our team registration page and a link to our team information packet to give your Pit Master a feel for how we run the competition. For more information about how to field a BBQ team, reach out to Alex Schulman at teams.AKBF@gmail.com.DSC_2427

We are accepting donations for our Silent Auction.  We are looking for sporting events tickets, concert tickets, restaurant gift cards, a timeshare week or weekend, or maybe a trip to Israel.  If you would like to showcase your business to 4,000 attendees, be a sponsor, a vendor, or donate to the silent auction.  For more details, reach out to PitBoss.AKBF@gmail.com.DSC_2614

Proceeds from the Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival over the past several years have benefited the following organizations: Jewish Education Loan Fund (JELF), Backpack Buddies, I Care Atlanta, Atlanta Israel Coalition (AIC), Cobb County Police K-9 Unit, Cobb County Sheriff’s Department and of course, the Greater Atlanta Jewish Community!
