Join us for conversation and connection as we gather around When We See You Again, Rachel Goldberg-Polin’s memoir about the aftermath of her son Hersh’s abduction and death following October 7th. It is a story of grief and love and what it means to keep going when everything feels shattered. It is also a story about strong women* and the communities that hold us through unimaginable pain.
Together, we will reflect on the book, explore the ways grief moves through individuals and communities, and make space for the complicated feelings this story may bring up for us. We’ll think together about what it means to witness one another’s pain, how community can help carry heartbreak, and how stories can become a form of connection and care.
Whether you’ve read every page, are still making your way through it, or are just beginning — come be with us.
*SVIVAH welcomes all those wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women. If you want to be with us, we want you with us and welcome. This gathering welcomes learners of all backgrounds. Our diversity is what makes our gatherings richest. Come be with us. We want to learn from you, too.
