A sentimental father-daughter dramedy rooted in Holocaust memory follows an observant Israeli son who travels to Budapest to reclaim a fabled wartime ring tied to his mother’s survival. Arnon (Adir Miller), a driving instructor who’s gone adrift, persuades his estranged daughter Alma (Joy Rieger), whose coming out he never fully accepted, to join the search for the ring that had saved their family. As they contend with bureaucratic hurdles, antisemitism, unexpected generosity, and memories from ailing matriarch Violetta (Tikva Dayan), the first steps toward reconnection emerge. Drawn from his family history and written and co-directed by Miller, this gently affecting journey blends humor and quiet heartache as a father’s quest becomes a chance to reweave a family story frayed by hurt and time.
