In this hushed and hypnotic Israeli chamber drama, a fleeting airport encounter unsettles the carefully ordered life of a married translator, where language falters just as long-buried feelings surface. Mistaken for someone else while waiting for her husband’s flight, Aya (Sarah Adler) impulsively agrees to escort a visiting stranger (Ulrich Thomsen), a brief exchange that ends abruptly but whose aftershocks linger long after and pull her into mounting inner turmoil. Expanding their Oscar-nominated short, husband-and-wife filmmakers Mihal Brezis and Oded Binnun craft a taut study infused with sensual tension and emotional awakening, anchored by Adler’s mesmerizing performance, in this Jerusalem Film Festival Best Script winner and nominee for 12 Israeli Academy Awards including Best Films.
