Presented in partnership with the Atlanta Jews of Color Council, OneTable, Honeymoon Israel, and JFGA: Join us for a Jewish Social Justice Shabbat dinner in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. It will be an evening of celebration and commemoration building capacity for productive conversations across lines of difference.
Featured Special guest speaker Garry Lowe, Vice Chair of the John Lewis Legacy Institute will share about his organization’s mission, and ideas as to how we may achieve the ideals espoused by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Beloved Community.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought provoking table conversations in a brave space regarding the ongoing relevance of Dr. King’s work, and tangible steps to pursue justice as allies individually and collectively. Let’s celebrate Dr. King’s legacy over a shared meal, embracing King’s dream of an equitable world.
