Women’s Philanthropy is hitting the road again!
Join us on our journey to Montgomery and New Orleans, where we will spend three impactful days learning about the Civil Rights Movement and the history of the Jewish community in the South. We will visit notable museums, meet with community leaders, enjoy great food, and spend time together as we discover what it means to be Jewish in the South.
On day one, we will hop on a (very nice) bus and drive from Atlanta to Montgomery where we will visit the Legacy Museum, the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and a private tour of the new Museum of Southern Jewish History. The next morning we will head from Montgomery to New Orleans, spending two full days exploring the city and the Jewish community with the guidance of New Orleans’s own Women’s Philanthropy. On March 23rd we will leave the bus in New Orleans and take a quick and easy flight back to Atlanta.
*estimated cost is $1,600/person, not including airfare from New Orleans to Atlanta
Space for this event is limited to 40 registrants. Those that would like to register after reaching capacity will be added to a waitlist.
