Our Offering to Mothers in the 3 Months After Birth
CircleMoms provides support and connection for moms in the first 3 months after birth. Through location-specific support groups in cities across the country, CircleMoms is the essential, built-in village every mom needs in the fourth trimester.
Led by Doulas specializing in maternal health, CircleMoms is designed to connect you with other new moms in your community to discuss real, honest, and common concerns in the newborn days.
By the end of your five or six-week series, you will walk away with strategies, solutions, and resources to help you thrive as a mom. And most importantly, you will have a circle of amazing women to help you through the somewhat scary and overwhelming yet equally magical fourth trimester – and beyond.
Maternal support isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Find your circle!
Circle meets weekly for 5 weeks on August 2, August 9, August 16, August 23 and 30th
Bonus Shabbat Experience Session on 8/26: In addition to regular 5 sessions, we will be offering a “Bonus” session led by Rabbi Sam from Temple Sinai. This will be an open discussion about incorporating religion into your family life. Bagel brunch will be provided. All are welcome to join!
The other 5 sessions are non-denominational and the exact same as other circles.
Time: 10:00 am-11:00 am (we ask that you try to arrive by 9:45)
PP Doula: Penny Gilchrist (Postpartum and Labor Doula in the Atlanta area for over 20 years).
Penny assists new moms with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, sleep schedules (with flexibility as babies aren’t robots), soothing techniques, and so much more. She believes that no two babies are alike and always focuses on the needs of both baby AND mom. She also offers private labor classes in addition to her at-home, pre and postpartum consults.
Attendees: Moms with babies 0-3 months old that live in Atlanta
The circle meets once a week. The postpartum doula holds an interactive space for women to share and learn. Relevant topics are discussed each week– birth stories, feeding, sleep, emotions, and activity time (handouts included). All participants gain access to Slack to stay in communication with other participants and the doula during the 5 sessions and after the circle is over.
Note: This is an informal environment where you can feed, soothe and change your baby.
Topics: birth story, feeding, sleep, activity time, bathing, postpartum emotions

NOTE! If your delivery date is close to (or just after) the start date of a circle, there is no issue with joining the circle after the first session.
If you change your mind or are not ready to join at a certain time, we are always happy to move you to the next circle! We never want you to be stressed about which circle you are signed up for. We can always move you!
