While you can repay a debt, you can’t “un-say” a slight. In Jewish ethics, Ona’at Devarim (verbal mistreatment) is legally more severe than financial fraud. Why? Because while a bank account can be audited, a spirit cannot. But if we are constantly calculating the weight of every syllable, do we risk losing our voice entirely?

In this OTP session, we’ll dive into the Gemara’s visceral warnings against humiliation while addressing the modern paralysis of “walking on eggshells.” We’ll seek the Golden Path: the space between radical sensitivity and the vibrant, messy friction of true connection. Join us to discover when the cost of absolute silence might be higher than the risk of a clumsy word.
