Berman Commons Hosts Free, In-Person Caregiver Support Group

FREE AND OPEN TO ALL.

Watching those we love lose their memory or ability to live independently is difficult on all levels. Taking some time to focus on your own mental and emotional well-being will help you be a better caregiver for someone else.

Berman Commons will hold their Caregiver Support group for the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area every third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30 PM. It will be facilitated by Jessica Wilson, MSW and Geriatric Care Manager with JF&CS.

Caregiver burnout is real, particularly for those caring for loved ones with dementia or other age-related condition. Just being with others facing similar challenges can offer new ideas and help reduce feelings of isolation and depression. Our facilitators can also provide information, resources, and strategies that give participants a sense of control and perspective knowing they are not alone.

Berman Commons is located at 2026 Womack Road in Dunwoody, adjacent to the MJCCA and walkable from Congregation Ariel.
