Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Jewish year, the day the Book of Life that opened on Rosh Hashanah gets sealed. It’s a day set aside for honesty with ourselves and for closeness with G-d.
At Chabad, it doesn’t matter what your Jewish background or beliefs are. It doesn’t matter how often you’ve stepped foot in a synagogue, or even if you never have. We’ll do everything we can to make Yom Kippur meaningful and real for you, wherever you’re starting from.
Yom Kippur has a reputation for being heavy, but Jewish tradition actually calls it one of the most joyous days of the year. Not because it’s easy, it’s a full day of fasting and prayer, but because it’s a clean slate. A real chance to become who we’re actually meant to be.
