Jenna Sommer, Neurodiverse Inclusion Specialist, returns for Part 2 of our series. Families will take a deeper dive into specific learning profiles (this session will focus on Autism), explore best practices for sharing information with others, and discuss strategies for supporting all families in their communities.
In-person event attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session after the talk.

Speaker Bio: Jenna Sommer, Neurodiverse Inclusion Specialist
Jenna is a certified Speech Language Pathologist and Learning Specialist with over a decade of professional experience identifying and delivering services to children, adolescents, and young adults with all sorts of needs. She has partnered with numerous organizations and communities (including camps, public school systems, athletics organizations, independent education communities, and individual families) to build understanding and empathy around neurodiversity and neurodivergence and plan for accommodations.
Jenna believes that each and every one of us thinks, learns, communicates, and perceives the world in our own unique ways, that “teachable moments” are everywhere if we are flexible enough to find them. She is committed to ensuring that learners feel empowered to advocate for their own needs in the world; she is also committed to working within larger systems and structures to build a world that works for all brains.
