Three Separate Games
The event will feature three separate games, all played simultaneously but with each designed for a different demographic.
- Elementary – This game will be open to elementary school students and will feature novice-level questions and age-appropriate hosts and guests.
- High School – This game will be geared toward teenagers, with age-appropriate hosts, guests, and questions.
- Big Game – The big game will be a blast for players of all ages.
By separating the event into three separate games, we maximize the potential for participation and success among young players. The two school-level games will give students and their schools a chance to shine. Each student’s name will be accompanied by her school’s name on the leaderboard. This will develop a sense of pride for schools that perform well and give viewers a rooting interest.
Rounds 1-4
Each round will consist of ten questions – five about one topic, then five about a second topic. A guest will introduce each topic, then proceed to ask the questions. All questions will be in a multiple-choice format. Players will need to answer each question within a specified time limit (usually 20 seconds), with points awarded for correct answers and bonus points awarded for speed.
Each question will be visible on screen, as well as read aloud by a celebrity guest. Questions will be accompanied by related photo or video content.
After each round, the player with the highest score in that round will win a prize.
During each game, one or more lottery prizes will be awarded at random, giving players with low scores a chance to come away with something special.
Round 5
The final round will be similar to the first four. However, at the conclusion of Round 5, there will be two prizes awarded. First, the player with the highest score in Round 5 will win a prize. Second, the player with the highest overall score throughout the game will win the grand prize.
