More than 850 governmental, educational and non-governmental organizations around the world have adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of antisemitism since its development in 2016. Under H.B. 1274, which overwhelmingly passed the House and awaits action in the Senate, Georgia would join 19 other states in making the IHRA definition part of state law. But what does the IHRA working definition actually say? How does it differ from two prominent alternatives presented since 2020, the Nexus Document and the Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism? How does Israel fit into efforts to respond to antisemitism?

Join us on Tuesday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. EDT for a free online panel discussion featuring:
– moderator Jan Jaben-Eilon, a veteran reporter and contributor to the Atlanta Jewish Times;
– Gerard Filitti, Senior Counsel at The Lawfare Project and a leader in the End Jew Hatred movement;
– Kenneth Stern, Director of the Bard Center for the Study of Hate, the lead drafter of the IHRA working definition, and ex officio member of the Nexus task force; and
– Shaul Magid, a Dartmouth College professor of Jewish studies and Jerusalem Declaration signatory.

This webinar is co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Atlanta, End Jew Hatred, and The Lawfare Project
