Join us for Shabbat for All, a Shabbat evening with JAccess and PJ Library Atlanta in partnership with Congregation Or Hadash. The Shabbat for All experience welcomes everyone and offers an evening of connection, accessibility, Shabbat themed art making, storytelling, and community in a space where all can participate. Enjoy a light kosher dinner and story time.
What is Shabbat for All?
Shabbat for All is a pre-service program designed to help families ease into Shabbat. Offered in partnership with JAccess and PJ Library, it provides an opportunity for families to explore synagogues and see whether a congregation feels like the right fit for them. The program is designed to be accessible, welcoming, and fun.
Shabbat for All also serves as a model for inclusive programming, helping synagogues learn and implement accessibility and inclusion of best practices that can be incorporated into programs and events throughout the congregation.
Security will be present at the program.
What is a sensory experience? Modifications often include:
- Softer sounds, dim lights, and no flashing lights.
- You can talk, walk around, or take a break in quiet spaces.
- Headphones are provided and fidgets.
