Pine LakeFest

The 16th annual Pine LakeFest, two days of art, music, food and family fun, will be held on the shores of beautiful Pine Lake, Georgia, October 1 and 2.  This highly interactive festival showcases handmade art and crafts by 45 local and regional artist vendors, live music, and poetry by Georgia writers.  Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 2.  Admission and parking are free.

Activities will include a  “Sound of Nature Experience” with hands-on crafts for kids, chalk art and sand sculpture contests on the beach, a pet show, and “Floatzilla!” a wild water parade led by the “Seed and Feed Marching Abominables.”  

LakeFest music will include such notables as Caroline Aiken, Anita Canada, Larry Griffith, Evan Kinney, John Maschinot, and Melanie Hammet; “The Band of Desperate Men” is all about quirky folk; and “Uncle Don’s Band” is vintage rock n’ roll performed by vintage rockers.   Headliner A.J.Ghent and his band will lead a blues safari to close the festival on Sunday.
