The modern enslavement and redemption of the Jewish people took place in the Soviet Union, in our lifetime. Jews were discriminated against and widely persecuted, suffering tremendously.  Over the decades, Jews were able to leave the USSR in a relative trickle, but after there was no more Soviet Union, Jews were able to leave widely. A million came to Israel in the early 90s.  But the story of the modern Exodus is largely untold, or forgotten.  We will tell it.
