This webinar will help parents identify healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors, increase awareness of dating violence, gain knowledge and skills to recognize warning signs of abuse, and intervene effectively when it occurs.

Parents will learn to facilitate discussions with their teen about healthy relationships and teen dating violence.

Speakers: Rebecca Brown, LCSW, and Tzipporah Gerson-Miller, LCSW.

Rebecca Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. Rebecca is the Outreach and Prevention Social Worker for the JF&CS Shalom Bayit program, providing education and programming to the Jewish community. She believes in the importance of community outreach as a means to foster social change and educate future generations. Rebecca also provides individual therapeutic services for children, adolescents and adults experiencing various mental health challenges.

Tzipporah Gerson-Miller is a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Georgia with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She’s worked in the field of community-based mental health clinic settings for more than 10 years, as well as domestic violence shelters and hospitals. Tzipporah is a full-time therapist with the Shalom Bayit Program at JF&CS where she specializes in complex PTSD, mood disorders, substance abuse recovery, domestic violence, perinatal, postpartum, and maternal mental health, integrative mental health medicine for women throughout the lifespan, Ayurvedic/ Yogic lifestyle medicine, EMDR, infant mental health, child/parent psychotherapy, and attachment based family therapy.
