Jewish Rescue in the Philippines. The story of the surviving Manilaners, and their descendants, and how a small Asian nation was able to save more Jews than Oskar Schindler during WWII. Notably, the Philippines was the only Asian nation to vote for Israel’s acceptance to the United Nations in 1948.

Meet co-author and producer, Sharon Delmendo. Book signing will follow program.

Sharon is a professor at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, received her PhD in English in 1993 from SUNY-Buffalo. She did most of the research on her first book, The Star-Entangled Banner: One Hundred Years of America in the Philippines, while living and teaching in the Philippines as Fulbright Professor of American Studies.
