Award-winning photographer Lee Friedman will present his images during his show and tell the stories behind them.  He will describe his nature discovery trips, when his aim is to “capture the spectacular in the midst of the ordinary” through his camera’

Friedman’s work has been seen in Dawsonville, GA at the Bowen Arts Center and the Fernbank Science Center at Emory University.  This year, he won first place for his image “Extinguished” from the Georgia Nature Photography Association along a Top 100 and

several Top 250 picks from the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA).  His work has also been selected to be published in the NANPA magazine for the last 2 years.

Friedman is employed by AT&T and is a member of the Georgia Nature Photography Association (GNPA), the North American Nature Photography Association and Professional Photographers Association.  He is the coordinator for the GNPA 10th Anniversary Educational EXPO 2019 that will take place in Columbus, GA in April 2019.

“I created my Natural Moments exhibit to show a broad expanse of nature that invites the viewer to ‘go on an exploration’ with me.  The viewer will thrill to see a tiger close up or a tiny crab or the solar eclipse he might have missed or an angle he did not see.

“Discover the exotic beauty of those birds that come to the backyard feeder that no one ever notices.”

Oy Toys’ mission, Levy says, is to promote the cultural arts. “Oy Toys is housing this exhibit, which demonstrates the beauty of our natural world and the importance of caring for it,” she said.

“I am so excited to be able to share the beauty of Lee’s work with our community.  I want everyone to savor his incredible pictures.”

Friedman’s subject matter includes birds, insects, animals, sea life, sunrises, sunsets, and unusual landscapes.  A portion of his work can be described as astrophotography and macro-photography.

Friedman’s images may also be viewed and purchased at www.naturalmomentimages.com.

Friedman lives in Alpharetta, GA.  He lives there with his wife, two children, four cats and, as he puts it, “all the nature his back yard can hold!”
