The latest version of “Atlanta Jewish Singles” was created on June 22, 2018 as a service to Jewish Singles of ALL ages in the Atlanta metro area. We organize events weekly (or more frequently) including dinners at restaurants, Happy Hours, Shabbat Dinners in homes, concerts, and other entertainment or educational events all over town. The group has an informational page on Facebook, but it operates primarily through Meetup.com where RSVPs can be made for any of the events. There is no charge for membership, and there are no fees at any events other than whatever the venue might charge. We do our best to get discounts or specials at all venues!
The group was created by Allan Bowman who has extensive experience with Singles events in Atlanta. In the 80s, Allan was heavily involved with JCC Singles event planning including 5 years on the “Blue Jeans Weekend” committees, Ski Trip committees, and Co-chair of their Israel trip committee. For 3 years in the 90s he was co-founder of the highly successful “Jeff & Allan Happy Hours” which provided weekly events for Jewish singles in Atlanta. Allan was also a charter committee member of “Atlanta YAD” representing his group. More recently, he was a Co-organizer of the “Original Atlanta Jewish Singles” Meetup group for 3 1/2 years.
