Tu Bishvat is a Jewish holiday when we celebrate the birthday of the trees. It’s an opportunity to strengthen our connection to the environment and is a very accessible holiday for people of all backgrounds. Join Rabbi Malka Packer-Monroe for a creative, interactive, spiritual Tu Bishvat seder (ceremonial meal). We will bless and eat symbolic foods, drink wine and celebrate Shabbat.*

* Tu Bishvat begins on January 27 in the evening, but we will celebrate it on Friday night so we can also celebrate Shabbat as a community.

Rabbi Malka Packer-Monroe is our director of 18Doors Atlanta. She runs events for couples to socialize and discuss relevant issues, and workshops to reflect on your backgrounds, differences and similarities and discuss your hopes, plans and dreams for the future. She is also available for one-on-one consultations and to refer you to local Jewish clergy and organizations that welcome interfaith/intercultural couples and families. Contact her at atlanta@18Doors.org.

18Doors believes our community is enriched by the diversity of its members. We welcome all families, and invite racially diverse and LGBTQ families to participate in our programming.
