On one of the last days of summer 2019 (still 90 degrees outside) we strutted down to the Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park for Atlanta Sport and Social Club’s Atlanta Rosé Festival, a colorful rosé soiree on The BeltLine.

Tickets included over 50 varieties of rosé wines and rosé inspired craft beer tastings in complementary stemless wine glasses. So many choices! So little time!  As we sipped the afternoon away, we canvassed the area and admired the fabulous fashionistas from all across metro Atlanta filing in for an afternoon of fun! Many donned rose-colored dresses and blouses while several men wore mauve suits and shirts to complement the Rosé All Day theme. Great mingling and people watching, we enjoyed fun wine-themed activities, photo ops and games, like big Jenga and Connect Four, while DJ dj Aetii spun the latest hits.

Food trucks lined the Old Fourth Ward Skate Park, offering plenty of delicious finger foods for purchase.  We opted for food from The Pickle, South of the Border and heart of the south inspired food. We devoured their Grilled Chicken & Green Chile Quesadillas and Sautéed Spinach & Black Bean Quesadillas. Both were served with served with lettuce, sour cream & smoked tomato salsa. Delicioso!

After we finished our meal and rosé tastings, we headed down to the tables and chairs in the middle of the field and listened to the smooth soul sounds and pop rhythms of the band DAYSHAWNx. Some of their songs even had a hard rock edge.  A little something for everyone of all ages to move and groove to.

The event continued into the evening, as Old Fourth Ward Fall Festival 2019 featured more free live music, do it yourself lantern kits and a lantern parade viewing in anticipation of one of Atlanta’s great traditions, the 10th anniversary of the Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade. It was a great day and Atlanta Sport and Social Club sure know how to throw a party!!

SAVE THE DATE and break out your lederhosen to join Atlanta Sport and Social Club for Oktoberfest Atlanta 2019, a weekend of German-themed fun on October 11th & 12th. Enjoy a variety of deliciously cold German beers, Oktoberfest-inspired craft beer, German food, live music and an abundance of games and Oktoberfest themed activities in Historic Fourth Ward Park.  For more upcoming Atlanta Sport and Social Club events: www.facebook.com/AtlantaSportAndSocialClub/events.
