Way back in 1992, Tony Smith was chosen for a caricature workshop by his professor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Tony drew for 17 days straight at an Art Festival. Although it was his first time drawing caricatures, something ignited inside of him and he didn’t want to stop drawing. Tony’s take back from those 17 days, he found “A GREAT JOY FOR MAKING PEOPLE SMILE” he couldn’t be a happier!
Well, here it is, 32 years later, and over 500,000 BIG smiles captured. Tony Smith is now an “Award Winning Caricaturist”. He’s won several first place awards at ISCA, an International Society of Caricature Artists competition. He’s won for Caricaturist of the year and Best Black and White in: 2001,2005,2006,2012,2014, and his last win was in 2015.
