Jewish National Fund (JNF) is pleased to announce Roswell resident Roni Wolk as the incoming Assistant Vice President of the 119-year-old organization’s Women for Israel (WFI) National Board and Women’s Campaign. Wolk is entering her new role during a critical time as JNF’s lay leadership and professional team are diligently working to adapt the organization’s initiatives and strategies to continue to help Israel and its people in the wake of the global pandemic. Wolk will also be instrumental in helping JNF connect Atlanta to the people and land of Israel by executing unique projects, plans, and initiatives to strengthen Israel for the long-term.

For years, Wolk has been a dedicated member and co-chair of Atlanta’s Women for Israel Board and Chair of the Atlanta WFI Sapphire Society (JNF’s major donor society for women). She is also an advocate for individuals with disabilities and special needs and is passionate about ensuring that no member of society is left behind. She is an active member of JNF’s Task Force on Disabilities and Committee Chair for JNF’s affiliate LOTEM: Making Israel Accessible, an organization located in a nature reserve providing outdoor learning activities for children and young adults with disabilities and special needs.

“I’m excited to enter this leadership role with Women for Israel at a national level! But, how do you stay connected these days? How do you inspire other women to have the same passion I have for JNF and Women for Israel? How does that work from a flat computer screen via Zoom? I’m looking forward to figuring this out with the rest of the leadership team…together,” said Wolk. “I will bring all of my creativity and energy to the table to help grow WFI, despite these challenges. I know we will be successful!”

Together with JNF’s professional staff, Wolk has helped grow the Women’s Campaign in the Greater Atlanta area, providing an opportunity for female philanthropists to make a positive impact on the land of Israel. “Roni has been a wonderful partner in building Women for Israel in Atlanta, and it would not be the force it is today if it were not for her commitment of time, role-modeling, and leadership,” said JNF Executive Director for Greater Atlanta Beth Gluck. “Rarely have I had the honor of working alongside someone who is as talented and generous as Roni.”

“Roni is a rock star and one of the most positive people I know,” said Myra Chack Fleisher, immediate-past National President of Women for Israel. “She is a thinker, contemplative, and someone who takes a task and comes up with how to make it better and more robust, with the result ending up more amazing than what was originally asked for. Roni is one of JNF’s most valued lay leaders and a strong woman; I’m proud to see her enter this new role.”

Jewish National Fund’s Women for Israel is a dynamic group of female philanthropists who share a passion for building a prosperous future for the land and people of Israel. It was JNF women who raised the dollars to build the artist colony of Zuqim, located deep in the Negev Desert, spearheading Jewish National Fund’s Blueprint Negev initiative to develop Southern Israel and draw 500,000 new residents to the region.
