The nonprofit Center for Israel Education, with the Emory Institute for the Study of Modern Israel and Emory Hillel, is accepting applications from 10th- to 12th-graders for the next Teen Israel Leadership Institute, to be held over Zoom on two consecutive Sundays in February, the 7th and the 14th.

Expert instructors will present interactive sessions on topics including Jewish identity, music, peoplehood, the prospects for peace, media bias and Israel on campus.

CIE played host to 41 teens from across the United and four foreign nations when TILI first moved online in November. Thanks to the generosity of donors, CIE is able to waive the usual $54 registration fee for the February program only.

“Teens created new contacts and shared a wide variety of perspectives, making the discussions more varied for everyone,” CIE Teen Program Manager Michele Freesman says.

“Participating in CIE’s TILI was an amazing experience,” says November attendee Joelle from New York. “The presenters were engaging and knowledgeable, and I learned a ton of information on many different topics! It was also a great opportunity to connect with other students who are passionate about Israel education and Jewish history.”
