A somber anniversary approaches: October 7, 2023, will stay in our hearts forever as one of Israel’s darkest days. We invite you to join Hadassah for a special program commemorating this devastating day and our response to the resulting war that, sadly, continues to rage on.
“Honor. Mourn. Remember. Together We Will Heal” is a free, virtual event during which Hadassah leadership and distinguished guests will honor those lost since that fateful day. We will also honor the resilience of a country at war.
Maayan Hoffman, American-Israeli journalist and host of the Hadassah On Call podcast, will emcee the event. Presenters include Hadassah National President Carol Ann Schwartz; Michal Herzog, first lady of the State of Israel; and the family of Omer Neutra, a former camper at Young Judaea Sprout Lake who remains a hostage in Gaza.
Our program will feature a musical performance by the Hadassah Neurim Youth Aliyah Village choir and a memorial for war victims from the extended Hadassah family. Additionally, we’ll highlight the lifesaving work undertaken over the last year by Hadassah’s hospitals and Youth Aliyah villages in Israel –– all done with your indispensable help, for which we are deeply grateful.
