Museum of Tolerance and the Simon Wiesenthal Center Midwest Region, together with The Breman Museum Atlanta and The Decalogue Society of Lawyers Chicago, invite you to preview the new film:

A sweeping story of stunning accomplishments despite incredible obstacles, Mikva! Democracy Is A Verb charts the meteoric rise of Abner Mikva the “nobody that nobody sent” from an impoverished childhood to an epic career as a politician, federal legislator and judge, and White House counsel. Journey with Mikva as he prevails over the powerful Daley machine, challenges the National Rifle Association, fights for a Constitutional amendment to give 18-year-olds the right to vote and to strike down the Pentagon’s ban on gays in the military, and grapples with the 1978 neo-Nazi invasion of Skokie, Illinois. See how his passionate advocacy of ethical bi-partisan government, racial justice and gun control continues via his legacy organization, the Mikva Challenge.

Registered participants will have exclusive online access to view the film from Sunday, October 18 – Thursday, October 22, 2020.
