Judaism Your Way Hosts Virtual Jewish Comfort Food Cooking Classes

The online community welcomes all to discover their inner chef with four family-friendly classes

Virtual via Zoom – Judaism Your Way opens registration for its holiday comfort food cooking classes. Offering a modern and socially distanced method for family-friendly fun, the classes will run weekly from December 22nd to January 12th. Attendees will have the opportunity to create delicious meals with hands-on lessons from Judaism Your Way’s own Jewish cuisine enthusiast Amy Atkins.

Interested families and individuals can sign up for one or all four classes valued at $36 each. Following registration, participants will receive the Zoom login, the easy-to-follow recipe, and the easy-to-find ingredients list for the corresponding class. Attendees are encouraged to register quickly to ensure they have adequate time to shop for all the necessary ingredients. The classes are from 4:30 pm MST to 5:30 pm MST, featuring the following meals:

  • December 22: Homemade pita and hummus

  • December 29: Mandelbrot (Jewish biscotti)

  • January 5: Noodle and Potato Kugel (Potato Kugel is gluten-free)

  • January 12: Charoset from around the world (Sephardic and more)

“The holidays have always been a sacred time for bonding with family and creating long-lasting memories,” Rabbi Caryn Aviv, Rabbinic and Education Director, said. “During these stressful and unfortunate times, we wanted to provide our community with the enjoyable experience of creating wonderful traditional Jewish meals from the safety of their homes,” she concluded.
