Join Juan Ramirez, The ACSO and special guest Cantor Lauren Adesnik as they tell the timeless and universal stories of searching for one’s Homeland.

Stories of the shtetl, plantation life, the wilderness of Israel and more make their appearance in a wide range of symphonic melody, art song, and musical theater. Music ultimately becomes home for all.

Music Without Borders. Brought to you by Marvin and Ann Goldstein. The Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra, led by Artistic Director Juan R. Ramírez, presents its season opener, “Music Without Borders.” Repertoire to include Mendelssohn The Hebrides Overture, Op. 26 (Fingal’s Cave); Mendelssohn “Hear Ye, Israel” from the Elijah Oratorio featuring Cantor Lauren Adesnik, soprano; Mahler Adagietto from Symphony No. 5; Montsalvatge Cinco Canciones Negras; Ramírez Habanera Para Un Poema; Rodgers & Hammerstein The Sound of Music.
