FIDF Georgia & Southeast States Solidarity Mission to Israel
June 13 – 19, 2025
The Friends of the Israel Defense Force (FIDF) Georgia & Southeast States Mission to Israel will be an incredibly meaningful and impactful journey, offering deep connections with the land, its people, and the real-life stories of Israel’s defenders. The itinerary is rich in both historical and contemporary experiences, honoring the sacrifices made by soldiers, including Atlanta Lone Soldier Rose Lubin z”l, while also providing a firsthand look at the resilience and dedication of Israel’s military and citizens.
The combination of visits to significant landmarks, such as the Western Wall Tunnels and Mount Herzl Military Cemetery, along with the opportunity to engage with soldiers and their families, makes this mission a powerful way to connect with Israel’s ongoing narrative. Walking through Jerusalem’s Old City and interacting with the IDF heroes and heroines provides a connection to Israel’s daily fight for security. The dedication ceremony for the Magav Jerusalem Outdoor Fitness Center in honor of Rose Lubin z”l will undoubtedly be a moving experience, as will meeting the families of hostages and hearing their stories.
Traveling to the north to learn about the security situation on the border and comforting the wounded soldiers and bereaved families will give participants a sense of the real human cost of Israel’s defense efforts.
The FIDF BBQ with the Magav Jerusalem soldiers will add an element of camaraderie, allowing you to share meaningful moments with those who protect the country. The FIDF mission will be great opportunities to visit key medical centers like Sheba Medical Center, where you can witness the crucial work being done to combat PTSD among soldiers.
This mission offers a powerful blend of honoring the past and understanding the present, fostering a sense of solidarity and deepening the participants’ connection to Israel and its people. It’s a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in supporting Israel and its soldiers while learning about the nation’s security challenges.
