Eating Disorders and the Jewish Community

According to Dr. Carrie Poline of the Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders, “the food-centric traditions, in conjunction with society’s drive for thinness, strongly influence the development of eating disorders in the Jewish community.” Jewish Women’s Fund of Atlanta invites the community to learn from a panel of experts from the Eating Disorders Information Network about the prevention and treatment of eating disorders.
