Hear about Israel’s cutting edge cyber security Innovations and how they affect your home, your car and your world. Dr. Yossi Oren is a senior lecturer in the Department of Software and Information Systems Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) and a member of BGU’s Cyber Security Research Center. Prior to joining BGU, Dr. Oren was a postdoctoral research scientist in the Network Security Lab at Columbia University in New York and a member of the security lab at Samsung Research Israel. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University and an M.Sc. in computer science from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Most recently, Dr. Oren and his team of researchers at BGU developed a firewall to protect Android cellphones from common attacks.

He is widely published internationally on many current cyber security issues, such as “Attacks on RFID-Based Electronic Voting System,” “Attacking the Internet Using Broadcast Digital Television” and “Shattered Trust: When Replacement Smartphone Components Attack.”
