Unveiling hidden desires in Jerusalem’s cloistered ultra-Orthodox community, this nuanced character study explores a young marriage in peril, unraveling under extortion and crises of faith. Bati (Nur Fibak), a seemingly blessed yet naive wife and mother, is shattered to learn her husband Lazer (Uri Blufarb) is being blackmailed over intimate photos with a male Torah study partner. Desperate to save her marriage, she tries to “cure” him but is ultimately forced to confront her own desires.
