Angst_1000x1000

What causes anxiety, what are its affects, and what can we do about it?
Join JumpSpark and community partners as we explore how we can raise awareness of anxiety in adolescence on both the global level and at home in the Atlanta metro. Angst ›(runtime 56 min.) features candid interviews with kids and young adults who suffer, or have suffered, from anxiety and what they’ve learned about it while discussing its causes and sociological effects with mental health experts.

Sun. Aug. 19, 3:00-5:00 PM – Parent & Professional Screening & Discussion
Wed. Aug. 22, 6:30-8:30 PM – Teen Screening & Discussion

Special guest speaker (8/19 only) Jenny Howe, MS ›, the film’s narrator and licensed therapist, will lead the discussion of how we can combat the rising prevalence of teen and childhood anxiety in the Atlanta Jewish community.

With the Angst film screening event, JumpSpark is excited to introduce Navigating Parenthood › , a year-long series of workshops designed to equip parents for the milestones and challenges teens face today. Exploring topics on teen wellness, preparing for college, and more, Navigating Parenthood will connect parents with resources and agencies in Atlanta to help them prepare teens for life. These workshops for parents of teens are an extension of JumpSpark’s mission to serve and connect Jewish teens in Atlanta.
