A Survivor’s Story: Hershel Greenblat

The opportunity to hear the first-person account of a Holocaust
survivor is often a once in a lifetime experience.
Join us on May 6 as Hershel Greenblat shares his story.
Hershel Greenblat was born in the Ukraine in 1941. The first two years
of his life were spent hiding in a cave. After World War II ended, the
Greenblat family lived in displaced persons camps for 5 years before
receiving permission to immigrate to the U.S. They settled in Atlanta
and Hershel’s father opened a grocery store in the Buttermilk Bottom neighborhood.
Registration suggested but walk-ins are welcome. This program is open to all ages.
